About Me

I have been counselling clients for 15 years. I am DBS certified and UKRCP Registered Independent Psychotherapist, qualified and accredited Counsellor, Certified Supervisor, relationship counsellor and Neuro-Linguistics practitioner.

I trained as a Counsellor and Person Centred Supervisor at the Metanoia Institute in Ealing, which is recognised internationally as a place of teaching and learning excellence. I specialised in Counselling using The Person Centred Approach and gained a Diploma and BA (Hons) degree.

All these qualifications have enabled me to work long and short term with adults and adolescents in private practice, agency environments and secondary schools for the past ten years.

I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) bound by and work according to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy.  I am a member of BAPCA (British Association for the Person Centred Approach).

I was a Trustee of a busy counselling charity of which I am now its Clinical Lead where I manage and Supervise 35+ counsellors and placement students. I also have my own private counselling and supervision practice in Warfield where I work with adult clients and students of counselling.

Before entering the world of counselling my career background was in corporate executive selection and search and human resources. I was raised in South Africa having completed my formal education there and have been living in England since 1992.
